Referrals to the BetterOff Case Management Team can come from internal/external partners.
Description:
You may be working with a family or individual who is struggling to pay their Council Tax and may also have multiple other issues that require early help and support, where a multi-agency approach is required. There may need to be a different path of engagement where a more personal approach is required. These cases that will be tracked and monitored to ensure they stay on track
The team will try and make contact via several personal methods. Phone calls, texts, emails and personal letters are sent in a pink envelope. If contact is not made, a home visit will be carried out. Once contact has been made, the officer will identify what help and support is required and onboard partner organisations or additional internal services. All actions and outcomes are recorded in Liquid Logic, and contact is maintained for six months where step-up and step-down support is required.
Criteria for referral:
- Council Tax Debt and there are one or more additional areas where a multi-agency meeting/response is required:
1. Health
2. Housing
3. Education
4. Employment and Finance
5. Behaviour and Routines
6. Being Safe
7. Family and Community
